MDPI Commitment to the SDG Publishers Compact
The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieving a better and more sustainable future for all.
The SDG Publishers Compact was launched in 2020, aiming to inspire publishers and accelerate progress to achieve the 17 goals by 2030.
MDPI is committed to promote Open Access (OA) content on SDGs in the form of scientific articles and books, as well as our other initiatives, such as the World Sustainability Award and the Emerging Sustainability Leader Award.
At MDPI, we have chosen to focus specifically on SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities as part of our commitment to the SDG Publishers Compact. Promoting equal opportunities has always been at the heart of what we do at MDPI, whether it be in our offices, by supporting employees from diverse backgrounds or by promoting women in leadership positions. We also carry this into our activities as a publisher, promoting and supporting researchers from underrepresented communities in science across continents by offering reviewer vouchers and several other discounts to provide financial support to those submitting papers.
On this blog, we will keep you informed about all of our activities and news related to our commitment to the SDG Publishers Compact.
