Spotlight on Languages
Languages is an open access journal covering all areas of languages and, from a global perspective, all the different elements of languages. Because of the diversity of languages, there is always something to research.
Languages: a brief history
Languages released its inaugural issue in 2016, and it was originally released quarterly. Prof. Dr. Usha Lakshmanan served as the Editor in Chief of the journal until the following year. In 2017, Prof. Dr. Juana M. Liceras
and Prof. Dr. Raquel Fernández Fuertes served the journal as Editors in Chief. In 2018, the journal was indexed in ERIH Plus, an academic journal index for the HSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) society in Europe. As of 2023, Prof. Dr. Jeanine Treffers-Daller has been serving as the journal’s Editor in Chief.
Still a relatively new journal, it continues to draw more academics and research, by dealing with topics such as social sciences, education, Otherness, chat and AI programs, and more.
