We are glad to announce that the 6th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S 2018) and the 4th SPINTECH Technology Thesis Award will be held in this year in Kenting, Taiwan between 6 and 8 August.

Sensors are vital components in smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, cyber–physical systems and the Internet of Things, for so-called Industry 4.0. To bring about advanced applications, biologists, engineers, physicists and chemists are collaborating on innovative new methods for sensors.

In 2018, the MDPI journal Sensors will organize the I3S conference in Kenting, in the south of Taiwan. This is the conference’s first visit to Asia. I3S welcomes participants from industry, academia, and government to discuss the latest developments and breakthroughs in sensor technology and related subjects. The conference is an excellent opportunity for cross-fertilization of ideas from different fields.
